Donna Costa's Bio
Donna Costa is a certified Bowenwork practitioner. She began her career in the healing arts in 1999 as a Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner. She then studied classical homeopathy, graduating from the Canadian College of Homoeopathic Medicine in 2004. She opened a general practice in London, Ontario, treating patients with a wide range of health concerns. After moving abroad for a period of time, she returned to London and re-opened her practice, adding in Bowen therapy. Donna is also a Chapter Leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to disseminating information about nutrient-dense whole foods.
"In holistic nutrition and in homeopathy, emphasis was always placed on listening to the body because it can tell you what it needs. I've always enjoyed teaching this aspect to clients. Perhaps this is why I love Bowenwork so much, because it also highlights tuning-in to the body and an inward focus. During the Bowen pauses, I tell clients to pay attention to what sensations they are experiencing and where they feel those sensations. For many people, this is the first time they have paid attention and I love it when they experience the shifts both in their bodies and in their lives, when they say "Oh, wow!" They really do come to understand about listening to the body and they are amazed at the changes (physical, emotional and mental) as their bodies release pain!"
